If you are like me and love the hands-on traditional approach of drawing portraits, but also love the efficiency and magic of the digital world, then this course is for you. I will show you my process from start to finish on how I create a pencil portrait and scan it into Procreate to manipulate digitally and create a very unique illustration that doesn't lose the handmade touch.
I never thought I would be a digital artist.
I didn't want to learn a new craft and start from the beginning knowing the hours that would be involved...
And here I am, three years into learning everything I can about Procreate and not regretting a minute of it. I am consistently learning and growing with the digital world. It has completely expanded on what I can do traditionally and is a beautiful and user friendly tool when it comes to promoting your artwork through social media platforms.

You will learn how to create and compose portraits using a photo and the powerful tool of Procreate to create illustrations on the iPad. Who is it for?
Beginning to Intermediate artists and illustrators, and anyone who wants to immerse themselves into the powerful world of Procreate and its infinite creative possibilities for portraits.
What do you need?
It’s best to have basic Procreate skills for this course, but they aren’t necessary. You only require the will to learn and experiment with the multitude of tools that Procreate offers.
As for materials, you need an Apple Pencil, a compatible iPad, a scanner or camera, the app Procreate, and the materials from the materials list.
